Mom on the Move: 6 Things I’m Wearing This Weekend
We’ve been making a point to get out of the house (NYC apartment) as a family as often as we can on the weekends. Even when the weather is abominable.
And this is what I’m wearing from the grocery store to our baby music classes…
1. A Million Kisses
I discovered the perfect lip color that works from baby brunch through to parent’s night out.
It also doesn’t rub off on my husband or 6-month old son when they get my KISS ATTACKS.
2. My Baby
There’s nothing warmer or cuddlier during the last few weeks of winter than a front-facing shmushy.
He’s the new finishing touch on every outfit I own. And baby wearing will ALWAYS be in style.
#kaufMOMhack: If your baby isn’t wearing shoes yet, double-up on socks or layer footed pajamas under their clothes to keep their toes warm this season (since you don’t have the footmuff of your stroller to do that when you’re playing mommy kangaroo).
3. A “Cool Mom” Coat
There’s a 75% chance that anything I’m wearing over the weekend is going to be showered in spit up at some point. So I’m flaunting a lot of pleather and faux fur. But that also makes most of my latest looks vegan-chic.
And Ezra loves anything with a pattern…like this leopard jacket.
5. Cute Crumbs
With our doctor’s okay, we introduced our shmush to peanuts and his first snack this weekend.
He’s obsessed. And so are we. So consider us covered in crumbs until further notice.
6. A Traveling Toy
I used to make the mistake of letting Ez play with a toy while we walked together…and I’m sure you can guess why that wasn’t a good idea.
Now I try to wear an oversized or men’s cuddly scarf that he can grab with his fingers – in between moments when he’s holding mommy’s hands.
