kaufMom Classics: 2019 Holiday Guys Gift Guide
It’s only mid-November but it’s already 30 degrees in New York. And I hate to generalize, but men are nearly impossible to shop for. So this year, I’m planning ahead.
From the latest tech to the most basic classics, I’ve researched it all. And I’m sharing it. Hannukah might be over a month away, but I already have my cart stocked with a few things those wonderful men in my life would really love. Like…
Bliss
I know that my husband loves the sound of my voice. But midway through the long holiday break, for just a few minutes, he might enjoy the sound of these more.
A lifeline
Because we expect the men in our lives to be on call and available 24/7, this one is somewhat of a game changer. It fits even the most minimalist male’s lifestyle and slides seamlessly into a wallet, but packs enough power for more than 4x extra “I love you” texts and FaceTimes.
Cuddles
I’ve been dying to try this. And it looks like it would be powerful enough to trap a loved one into a never-ending cuddle session. Or at least mimic one for those few times we’re apart.
Miles
And for a guy who gets a thrill out of road trips or airline points, a travel gift always logs some miles and keeps him thinking of you constantly. Win/win.
#MyCalvins
I call them that because of their epic social media campaign. But also because they really are mostly mine. I steal his man boxers so constantly – to sleep in, chill in, and live in – it’s only right to gift them on occasion too. And these ones are classic. Can’t wait to wear them.
A nighttime story
Any exhausted new dads might get more than one use out of this one. And what are the holidays without a little bit of humor?
Money
Or if that isn’t in the cards, consider getting him something to keep both in. I’m drawn to this understated but sharp navy option, which only subtlety stands out from any standard wallet he might have used before.
Armani
I also steal his shirts. And sue me, I love a man in Armani. Always have, always will.
FaceTime
For grandpa (or dad), an eye-level desk iPhone charging station will ensure that the background of those adorable faces cheer him up on the reg. The iPhone becomes a desk calendar, clock, and reminder to text back. All because of a little stand.
The moon
Most men love to eat. And even after the age of twelve, almost all of them still like to play with their food. So I just can’t resist these.
A championship
For any golf obsessed, PGA-addicted, watchers, players, or wannabe-ers, a themed water bottle is undoubtedly a hole-in-one.
A trip
A “basic” duffle bag is always both stylish and functional. It also seamlessly accessorizes any man for the gym, airport, or weekend getaway.
Warmth
And while almost every guy begins to build an arsenal – if not an overflow -of cold weather accessories, it’s rare that they splurge on a truly insulated, luxurious hat. Enter: Canada Goose.
A theater
This is more like a gift for the entire family. But this sound beam turns every living room into an amphitheater. And as the weather begins to change, this makes staying on the couch a legitimate family activity.
Memories
Also a gift for the entire family and an excuse for everyone to leave their phones in the other room during the holidays. The best gift on anyones list in 2020 is the gift of presence. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t still capture the moment. The retro feel of this original style beats out its new-age competitors for me. And I think the men that we are shopping for would agree.
