How I’m Staying Motivated Right Now

March 26, 2020 by No Comments

This unforeseen global pandemic has challenged my sense of normalcy. But it hasn’t changed the fabric of my being. So right now, I’m taking time every single day to recenter and reset my perspective. I’m more grateful for my health now than ever. And I’m still abiding by the below prescription to keep my Type A identity intact:

Waking up to workout

I’ve been waking up almost every morning to tackle the day before work and motherhood dictate my schedule. When I can, I’ve been running or walking outside. And when that’s not an option I’m sculpting, stretching, or spinning on a classic Keiser bike. In 2020, there are so many ways to simulate a class-like environment. But Peloton and its competitive set will never really be a replacement for the elite Equinox’s Dave M. and his coveted classes. Right now, my husband and I are relying on Roku On-Demand but I just know that Dave’s live classes are imminent.

And my husband swears that this indoor cycling bike is a great temporary replacement for anyone looking to achieve that spin class burn while spending less than the above during Covid-19:

And Electric & Rose just elevated my morning mood with a jolt of neon and tie dye. The activewear brand was inspired by adventure and authenticity. And while this unprecedented time continues to be an unexpected experience for all of us, a shift in perspective can turn these extended hours at home as a full-time working mom into an adventure too.

I stumbled upon this must-have pink & black set and then a few words from the brand that sold me in

Sometimes we hesitate too much in our lives. There’s no such thing as a perfect moment. You just got to get up and go because it’s time to live.
